Humbled to have the honor of a new art commission to create a series of mural paintings at the iconic Daily News Building here in NYC. It's a wonderful project in the works and one I'm truly grateful for. In college I illustrated mural designs for a senior project and dreamed of painting large scale murals in NYC after seeing inspiring works of Sir Frank Brangwyn at Rockefeller Building, William Andrew Mackay at AMNH, Thomas Hart Benton at the MET museum, and Edward Trumball for the Chrysler Building. I've always wanted to paint stories in this broad scale, and to be able to tell it using my reportage art as a foundation for the work, is a dream come true. I look forward to sharing in the journey and process.
